The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses to support job roles which involve the care of babies and young children in the age range 0-5 years.
The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Common Illnesses Affecting Children (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual.
Who is it for?
This course is designed for those who wish to develop an awareness and understanding of common childhood illnesses to enable them to support the development and wellbeing of infants and children they support or care for.
Certificate
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Common Illnesses Affecting Children (RQF).
Duration
The duration of this course is 12 weeks via distance learning.
What will I learn?
- Knowledge of common childhood illnesses
- Policies and procedures relating to safe and healthy environments for babies and young children
- Principles of healthy and safe environments for babies and young children
- Understanding health emergencies and conditions in early years settings
Assessment
You will be assessed by completing all the required assessments with your tutor providing feedback following completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
