This course is for delegates who have successfully completed the CS30 and CS31 Chainsaw Maintenance, Crosscutting and Felling Small Trees NPTC assessments. It will cover the necessary theory and practical experience to enable the felling of trees over 380mm in diameter.

• Safe working procedures/risk assessments
• Protective clothing
• Starting and pre-use checks
• Legislative issues
• Practical demonstrations & safe use
• Preparation, felling & de-limbing
• Fell trees over 380mm in diameter
• Crosscut felled stems up to 760mm in diameter
• Take down of larger sized hung up trees using a winch
