Fire Marshal

£65.00

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all non-domestic premises in England & Wales, including:

- if you are responsible for business premises
- if you are an employer or self-employed with business premises
- if you are a charity or voluntary organisation
- if you are a contractor with a degree of control over any premises
- if you provide accommodation for paying guests

Under this legislation a responsible, competent person must carry out a fire risk assessments and devise and maintain a fire management plan.  Advice is available from each Fire Authority, however the responsibility lies with you to undertake this.

This risk assessment will determine how many staff members are to be trained as fire wardens/marshalls and other staff should be trained in basic fire safety awareness, which is recommended to be updated annually.

If you are unsure with regards to any legislation you should contact the Local Fire & Rescue Service.

This 4 hour course is an introduction to Fire Safety, Legislation and covers some Health and Safety issues.
