This course gives delegates the knowledge and skills to be able to respond and manage any illness or injury occurring to a child in their care, including calling for professional assistance in serious cases. This course is assessed by ongoing practical assessments plus a short multiple choice question paper. Delegates successfully completing this course will also be given an HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate to help with compliance of the HSE regulations for first aid cover in the workplace.
The following is a list of subjects which will be covered during this course. Some of the topics include protocols for adult casualties but all conditions are related to child and infant care.
