This course is aimed at those who wish to learn more about computerised accounting using Sage software and gain a level 3 qualification. It is highly recommended that those undertaking this course have completed the IAB level 2 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping (or equivalent). It could also be used by those who wish to gain an accredited qualification to improve job prospects or progression in the workplace.
Owners of businesses may find this qualification useful, for either themselves or their employees, as it gives coverage of the use of Sage software suitable for the production of business accounts.
The overall aim of the course is to further develop knowledge and understanding of the principles of computerised accounting and advanced business transactions using Sage software. It will develop knowledge of those transactions which are necessary for the setting up and entering of an existing company into a Sage accounting system including the processing of opening balances for debtors and creditors, an opening Trial Balance and the correction of errors.

• Set up the system and enter opening balances
• Enter advanced transactions
• Deal with entries specific to partnerships
• Make accounting adjustments
• Complete period end procedures
• Produce period and management Reports
• Depreciation
• Prepayments and accruals
