IAB Level 2 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping (QCF) using Sage

This course is aimed at those who wish to learn more about computerised bookkeeping using Sage software and gain a level 2 qualification. It is highly recommended that those undertaking this course have completed our Introduction to Computerised Bookkeeping course, the IAB level 1 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping (or equivalent) or use Sage software on a regular basis in the workplace. It could also be used by those who wish to gain an accredited qualification to improve job prospects or progression in the workplace.

Owners of businesses may find this qualification useful, for either themselves or their employees, as it gives coverage of the use of Sage software suitable for the production of business accounts.

The overall aim of the course is to further develop knowledge and understanding of the principles of a computerised bookkeeping system using Sage software. Learners will gain knowledge of basic bookkeeping routines concerning the documentation and processes relating to making and receiving payments including both cash and credit transactions, VAT and other routines.

Course Content

• Set up the system
• Create and maintain accounts and enter opening balances
• Enter transactions into the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
• Enter transactions into the Nominal Ledger
• Produce management information relating to customers and suppliers
• Carry out reconciliations to verify information generated
• Produce Reports using selection criteria and parameters
• Discounts, budgets, bad debts, contra entries, drawings

• Tuesday 1.00pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm to 9.00pm
• Wednesday 2.00pm to 5.30pm or 6.00pm to 9.30pm
• Thursday 1.00pm to 4.30pm
