It is recognised that there is a need for non electricians to be able to rest overloads, circuit breakers and change fuses, to help maintain productivity, but to so in safety. A starter course for non-electricians who have little or no electrical knowledge and need to carry out the above tasks to satisfy the requirements of Health & Safety at Work 1974, and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. This course enables participants to understand basic electric’s and carry out the above tasks in a safe manner.

• Basic electric theory-voltage, current, resistance, Ohms law, AC & DC, 
  power ratings three phase & single phase distribution systems
• Fuses - types and characteristics
• Overloads and protections - E/L, O/L, S/C
