One day course for care staff which meet the learning outcomes of the Skills for Care Knowledge and Skills Sets (KSS) and the CSCS training requirements.

Infection control means we are not completely at the mercy of infections and the diseases that infections cause because we can take certain actions to prevent and control them.  The more we learn about infection – what it is and how it occurs – the more we know how to avoid it, overcome it, and minimise its spread.

The course consists of three units covering:

• Introducing infection control
• Infection and infectious diseases
• Preventing the spread of infection
