Tyro is the commercial training division of Craven College and offers an extensive range of training through centres in Skipton, Scarborough and at Leeds Bradford International Airport. The Tyro team promise quality of expertise and delivery. Providing basic and advanced training we can accommodate you in one of our training centres or deliver courses on your premises. Attracting external funding to support accredited training programmes Tyro can offer cost effective solutions to your training needs.

Established in 1997, Tyro has successfully created and developed a resourceful and responsive service designed to meet the workforce development needs of businesses and organisations in North Yorkshire and further afield.

Crescent House

Crescent House offers excellent town centre facilities, is close to car parks, train and bus stations, offers stairlift access for disabled delegates, an informal refreshments area and high standards of hospitality.

Spacious and hospitable, the town centre training centre incorporates modern training rooms, ICT workshops, a fully equipped IT training suite, high speed internet access and up to date equipment and software. Crescent House is the administrative centre for widespread delivery of training, and its modern training resources and equipment are designed to enrich the learning experience.

The Crescent House customer service team is always on hand to provide a range of flexible and responsive services, which range from pre-course support, advice and information to taking messages for you during training sessions.

Bespoke Training

In addition Tyro provides tailored and bespoke courses to address specific organisational needs and supplies consultancy for both training and research initiatives. Contact us for further information or to arrange a visit from a training adviser.

Range of Delivery

Serving a multi-sectoral client base, training programmes run throughout the year, giving clients across a wide geographical area easy access to an extensive range of nationally recognised qualifications. With almost sixty nationally accredited courses, much of the training that Tyro offers can be supported financially by the Skills Funding Agency and other funding bodies.

Training is developed to assist companies to meet the requirements of national legislation and address identified needs for a broad spectrum of human resource development programmes, including; management and leadership qualifications and provide an extensive range of IT courses to assist businesses to benefit fully from their investment in computer system and software technology.

Cayley Court, Scarborough

The Scarborough business training offices are within Cayley Court, which is situated in the heart of Scarborough's industrial and commercial centre on Hopper Hill Road in Scarborough Business Park.
