A lot of people don’t like the idea of having to tell people they can’t do something, or may even feel pressurised when someone more senior asks for something from them. It’s easy to either give in and get on with it (at a personal cost) or become aggressive (damaging working relationships). Behaving assertively clearly conveys what you want, whilst at the same time recognising and respecting the rights of others. Assertive individuals will, in the long term, achieve much more than either the passive or the aggressive.
This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to deal with awkward situations in a direct, open and honest way. This allows you achieve what you want, and others to also achieve what they want.
